What is TCS and how much do I have to pay?
TCS (Tax Collected at Source) is an additional tax collected during a foreign remittance, credited against your tax liability. For every remittance above ₹7 lakhs a 5% TCS applies. If the money is from a student loan, TCS is reduced to 0.5%.
